Dear Community of South Africa,

Christmas comes with an early gift this year. Read on:

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ! I give thanks to God for each and everyone in CLC and the great gift God has given to me through knowing your dedication and commitment to ongoing encounter with God in the experiences of our daily life. I hope and pray that each of us may experience the rebirth of joy and hope as we celebrate the wonderful event of the physical entry of Jesus, God, coming into our human lives, in all the brokenness we experience around us daily.

 The General Assembly of 2018 will take place in South America in July 2018 and ……

It is with great joy that I inform you all that our Gauteng member, Malesabe, Sabie, Makgothi has been nominated by CLC Ecuador for election to serve on the executive committee of World CLC as a consultor. This a clear affirmation of Sabie’s participation and input in the past World Assembly.

As National Exco we met Monday evening, and after reflection and discernment the Exco members are unanimous in supporting Sabie in this call to service. We are committed to journeying with Sabie as she continues to listen and discern if she is being called to this service. As Exco we have considered the possible benefits for CLC SA and CLC Africa of Sabie’s participation on World Exco. In our discernment we believe that Sabie fulfils the criteria for election to the position of consultor. Elections to World Exco take place at the General Assemblies and run for the 5 years between Assemblies.

We request your prayerful reflection, discernment and response to the question: Do we send Sabie forward on this journey; and if so are we willing to support her?

I request your response to me by 30th December, but no later than 5th January, 2018.
